The Associated Press reported that the recall affects some 2022 and 2023 Cadillac Escalade, Chevrolet Silverado 1500, Chevrolet Suburban, Chevrolet Tahoe, GMC Sierra 1500, GMC Yukon, as well as 2020-2023 Cadillac CT4 and CT5 and 2021-2023 Buick Envisions.

The recall covers 740,000 vehicles in the U.S. and an additional 85,000 in Canada.

Having both the daytime running lights and the headlights on at the same time can cause excess glare, Reuters reported.

The issue will be fixed with a software update done either online or through a dealer.

Owners will be notified by mail starting Jan. 23.
