Sharon Osbourne, a television personality and the wife of metal rocker Ozzy Osbourne, was taken to a California hospital Friday night due to a “medical emergency,” authorities said.

Updated 9:37 p.m. EST Dec. 17: Sharon Osbourne had been filming on her son’s TV special, “Jack Osbourne’s Night of Terror,” Variety reported.

Jack Osbourne said on his Instagram story account that his mother had been released from the hospital, the entertainment website reported Saturday.

“She has been given the all-clear from her medical team and is now home. Thank you to everyone who has reached out with love and support,” Jack Osbourne wrote. “As to what happened to my mum — I’m gonna leave it to her to share about when she is ready.

Original report: The Ventura County Fire Department confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that medical personnel responded to an emergency call at the Glen Tavern Inn at 6:30 p.m. PST. A patient was taken to a hospital in Santa Paula, the entertainment news outlet reported. Santa Paula Police chief Don Aguilar confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that the patient was Sharon Osbourne, 70.

Aguilar also confirmed to Fox News that Osbourne was the patient.

TMZ reported that the star was at the Glen Tavern Inn for a television shoot. Fox News reported that a representative for Glen Tavern said they had “no comment” about the incident.

The Glen Tavern Inn, located in Santa Paula, has been featured on an episode of the Travel Channel’s “Ghost Adventurers,” according to Fox News.

No other details about Sharon Osbourne’s medical condition were immediately available, KTLA-TV reported.

Sharon Osbourne has continued working since her March 2021 exit from the daytime show “The Talk,” which came after an on-air argument with co-host Sheryl Underwood, Variety reported.

Osbourne revealed in November 2012 that she had undergone a double mastectomy due to her predisposed risk for breast cancer, according to The Hollywood Reporter. She also had surgery for colon cancer in 2002, and her health issues were chronicled on the family’s MTV unscripted series, “The Osbournes.”

In May, Osbourne’s 39-year-old daughter, Aimee Osbourne, was among those who escaped a Hollywood recording studio fire that killed a 26-year-old music producer.
