The Silent Killer in Breakups!

A growing relationship trend called “subconscious uncoupling” describes when one partner slowly pulls away, communicating less, avoiding plans, and emotionally distancing themselves, without actually ending the relationship. Relationship therapist Lucy Frank says this behavior is becoming increasingly common and is often subtle enough that partners ignore it at first. It usually happens because someone struggles to express difficult emotions and instead withdraws as a coping strategy. However, it doesn’t always lead to a breakup, if both partners are willing to address the issues in therapy, the relationship can sometimes recover!
