COLBERT COUNTY, Ala. – A woman is facing theft charges after investigators arrested her in connection with a large number of stolen tools.

The Boaz Police Department contacted the Colbert County Sheriff’s Office on Feb. 13 to ask for assistance finding a stolen truck and a large number of tools. In a news release, the sheriff’s office said that its investigators located the stolen 1999 Dodge 2500 truck, valued at $10,000, in the eastern part of the county. Inside the truck, deputies found $19,875 in stolen Dewalt tools.

Investigators arrested Jazlyn Laine Terry on two counts of first-degree receiving stolen property, WHNT reported.

Terry was charged with two counts of first-degree receiving stolen property.

Deputies said that their investigation revealed the Dewalt tools in the truck matched the tools that had been reported stolen in Boaz, WHNT reported.

Terry was taken to jail, where she was also held on an outstanding warrant for out-of-state agencies, the Colbert County Sheriff’s Office said.
