According to a news release from the Seattle Police Department, around 6:15 p.m. on Thursday, officers on patrol were flagged down about a fight. Officers found a man with numerous stab wounds and cuts to his head.

The officers provided first aid until Seattle Fire Department medics arrived. SPD said the 47-year-old victim was then taken to the hospital.

According to KIRO, a couple near Westlake Park flagged down another officer and told them they were allegedly pepper-sprayed by a man who was stabbed.

In its news release, SPD noted that the couple was engaged.

The couple then told the officer that they were riding on a bus when a man had allegedly approached them and touched the woman’s leg, according to KIRO.

According to SPD, a verbal argument started and then all three of them got off of the bus near 3rd Avenue and Pike Street. That was when the victim allegedly pepper-sprayed them.

The couple then began allegedly attacking the man with spiked brass knuckles and a switchblade, according to SPD. Police were able to recover both items from the man.

SPD said that the 22-year-old man and 24-year-old woman were arrested for felony assault. Officers also requested that the couple be charged for possession of dangerous weapons.
