LOUISVILLE – A billboard put up in Louisville featuring an image of slain EMT Breonna Taylor and calling for the arrests of the police officers involved in her March 13 death has been vandalized with red paint, according to multiple reports.

The billboard in the city’s Irish Hill neighborhood is one of 26 put up around the city this month by officials with “O, The Oprah Magazine.” In an image of the billboard obtained by the Courier Journal, red paint could be seen splashed on Taylor’s forehead.

“Demand that the police involved in killing Breonna Taylor be arrested and charged,” the billboard reads. It also includes a quote from Oprah Winfrey: “If you turn a blind eye to racism, you become an accomplice to it.”

Taylor was sleeping March 13 when police officers burst into her apartment in Louisville for a no-knock search warrant issued as part of a narcotics investigation. She was shot multiple times and killed. The warrant to search her home was in connection with a suspect who did not live there and no drugs were found, according to The Associated Press.

No arrests have been made in connection with her death.
