Firefighters in Brevard County helped rescue the female turtle, which was stuck under a boardwalk at Satellite Beach on Friday, WFTV reported.

“Thank you to everyone who helped with the rescue of this old girl,” Satellite Beach & Space Coast Community News wrote in a Facebook post.

Jason Bistarkey, a real estate agent in Brevard County, snapped a photograph of the sea turtle with the members of Brevard Fire and Rescue who pulled the animal from under the boardwalk.

“Just another day at the office!” Bistarkey wrote on Facebook. “This old gal got stuck under the boardwalk and needed some help.”

According to Satellite Beach officials, sea turtle nesting began March 1 and runs through Oct. 31. On the beach, lights are required to be turned off between 9 p.m. and 7 a.m. EDT, per the city’s Sea Turtle Nesting and Lighting Standards Ordinance No. 1210.
