BIBB COUNTY, Ga. – When agents on a regional task force served a Georgia man with an arrest warrant, they found him trying to flush pounds of marijuana down the toilet.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release that its deputies responded to the scene after task force agents found Joseph Benjamin Griffin II “attempting to flush a large quantity of marijuana down the toilet.”

Deputies said that when they arrived they found approximately 47 pounds of marijuana inside Griffin’s home, and additional bags of packaged marijuana in his rental car, along with a handgun and $12,600 in cash, WSB-TV reported.

Griffin had previously been charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, fleeing or eluding a police officer, and aggressive driving. As a result of their findings, Bibb County deputies said Griffin now faces charges for trafficking marijuana, as well as additional gun charges.
