The New England Patriots are doing their part to help keep those on the COVID-19 front lines healthy as they treat those who have the virus.

The team’s owner, Robert Kraft, was asked by Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker to deliver more than 1 million N95 masks from China to Boston, The Associated Press reported.

“The Krafts were terrific. They were a phone call away and immediately went to work on the logistics associated with this and did not stop until they could make it happen. This was a total team effort on every level.” Baker said, according to the AP.

Once the plane got to China, crews on the ground had three hours to load it with 1.2 million masks. The remaining masks and other equipment that had been gathered by Tencent, a Chinese technology company, will be shipped by cargo plane, the AP reported.

The flight crew was told to remain on the plane while the cargo was brought on board, Fox News reported.

The flight landed Thursday night. The National Guard unloaded some of the shipment into trucks that normally are used to take the team’s equipment to games around the country, Fox News reported.
