FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The bodies of two men were found on a South Florida beach early Tuesday, authorities said.

Fort Lauderdale police Detective Ali Adamson said the bodies were discovered on the sand just before 6:15 a.m. near Galt Ocean Mile, WLPG reported.

Authorities said blood was found at the scene, and police are treating the deaths as “suspicious,” the Sun-Sentinel reported. The Broward County Medical Examiner was called to the scene, the newspaper reported.

“The most important thing that we can ask for here is the public’s help,” Adamson told WSVN.

The victims’ identities and ages have not been released, WTVJ reported.
