WAVERLY, Ohio – The traditional part of any sporting event is the National Anthem. But one dad filled in when the song refused to play.
Trenton Brown waited for a moment while silence filled the gym before his son’s basketball game.
But then the dad who loves to sing started to belt out the “Star-Spangled Banner,” WCMH reported.
Brown didn’t start singing on his own, he told CNN. He only started after his wife nudged him and told him to.
When he was done, he sat back down to enjoy the game and his popcorn, CNN reported.
Johnny Futhey recorded Brown and posted his singing to Facebook.
The video was viewed thousands of times with more than 30,000 likes and more than 3,800 comments.
One Facebook user said his performance gave her chills while another said there are good people in this world.
