IDLEDALE, Colo. – A wildlife officer was able to free an elk that somehow became entangled in a lawn chair.

“We see wildlife that mostly get caught up in swings, hammocks and netting, but lawn furniture is somewhat common,” Colorado Parks and Wildlife said on social media.

A resident called wildlife officials after finding the cow elk with the chair around her neck and front legs.

Wildlife officer Joe Nicholson tranquilized the large animal, then safely removed the chair. The elk was not injured and later walked away unaffected.
