BERLIN, Pa. – A Pennsylvania man is accused of throwing a dresser drawer at a woman’s head and then attacking her with an ax, authorities said.

Jesse Barron, 43, of Berlin, was charged with simple assault, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and recklessly endangering another person, according to a criminal complaint.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police, troopers responded Friday to a domestic dispute in Berlin, WJAC reported.

A woman at the scene told troopers that she had been arguing with Barron when he threw her on a bed and grabbed her by the neck, the television station reported.

According to the criminal complaint, the woman said Barron threw a dresser drawer that struck her in the head, WJAC reported. The woman alleged that Barron then grabbed an ax and struck her in the knee before throwing a gallon of iced tea at her, the television station reported.

The woman called 911, and Barron, who left the scene, was later arrested by troopers.

Barron then threw a gallon of iced tea at her before she was able to call 911, according to the complaint.

Barron’s bail was set at $10,000 unsecured, WJAC reported. He has a preliminary hearing scheduled for April 8.
