The driver, who was struck by the projectile in the face, is expected to recover, WFSB reported.

According to police, the truck driver, whom they are seeking, continued traveling southbound on Wolcott Road following the incident, possibly unaware the climactic missile had been unleashed, WVIT reported.

In turn, officers used the freak accident to remind drivers that not clearing ice and snow from the hood, trunk and roof of their vehicles is a motor vehicle violation, the TV station reported.

Violating the statute results in a $75 fine, WFSB reported.
