ELKVIEW, W.Va. – A juvenile has been charged with murder after four people were found dead Sunday morning in a southern West Virginia home, authorities said.

Update 8:04 p.m. ET Dec. 13: Deputies confirmed to WSAZ that an adult man and woman were found dead, along with a 12-year-old boy and a 3-year-old boy.

Kanawha County Sheriff Mike Rutherford told the TV station that his agency cannot release any additional information about the juvenile suspect, but he did say the identities of the victims would be made public on Monday.

Rutherford told WSAZ that a man called 911 just after 10:30 a.m. after finding three of his relatives dead from an apparent act of violence at the Cemetery Hill Drive home. The unidentified man, who was checking on relatives from whom he had not heard in several days, told deputies the door was unlocked when he arrived.

Responding deputies located a fourth victim, the TV station reported.

Although deputies have not identified the juvenile suspect, they did confirm to WSAZ that the minor was a member of the slain family and had been located safe at another location.
