Laurie Leigh Bostic, 61, faces charges of evading arrest, interference with a processional, disorderly conduct, and criminal mischief, according to Rockwall County Sheriff’s Office online booking records.

According to the Rockwall Police Department, organizers of the city’s Fourth of July parade told Bostic she would not be allowed to participate in Saturday’s parade because she caused a disturbance in the event’s staging area, The Dallas Morning News reported.

Bostic entered the procession anyway, the newspaper reported. She then fled on the tractor after officers tried to stop her because she was behaving dangerously, KTVT reported.

“Officers were able to force her from the road, where she ran into a fence, disabling her tractor,” the department said in a statement.
