The fire closed the eastbound lane of Interstate 70 near Golden, KUSA reported. The truck burst into flames at about 3:30 p.m. MDT, the television station reported.

The fire caused the truck to stop and dump hundreds of lemons across the highway, KDVR reported.

It is unclear what caused the blaze, according to Colorado State Patrol officials. The driver was not hurt, troopers said.

The truck fire occurred in nearly the same location in April 2019, when a truck driver who lost his brakes crashed into stopped traffic, killing four people, KMGH reported.
