In a news release, the CPSC said the defeat could pose a fire hazard.

The retail chain is recalling 10,900 of Sunjoy Inds, Oakmont LP fire pit tables sold in the U.S., the CPSC said.

The natural tile, square tables are approximately 38 inches wide, 38 inches deep and 25.6 inches high, the CPSC said. The tables have a powder-coated steel frame with an all-weather wicker base that hides a 20-pound liquid propane tank. The tanks are ignited with a push-button and have an adjustable flame with a steel burner cover.

Sunjoy, based in China, said it has received 17 reports of fire pit tables with incorrectly installed hoses with problems. Twelve of the tables have been ignited, and four reports of minor property damage and one report of a user being burned on his hand, the CPSC reported.

The CPSC recommended that consumers immediately stop using the recalled units and contact Sunjoy to receive a free replacement burner kit and installation instructions. Consumers can contact Sunjoy about the recall at (866) 578-0101 from noon to 8 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday, and online here. The recall’s reference number is 21-027.
