Tony Award-nominated Broadway star Nick Cordero died Sunday morning, nearly four months after he was hospitalized with complications from the novel coronavirus, his wife, Amanda Kloots, announced on social media. He was 41.

“God has another angel in heaven now,” Kloots said of Cordero, who suffered numerous health problems during his hospitalization and had his right leg amputated. “My darling husband passed away this morning. He was surrounded in love by his family, singing and praying as he gently left this earth.”

In addition to Kloots, Cordero is survived by the couple’s 1-year-old son, Elvis Eduardo.
