A big change is expected Wednesday ahead of a strong cold front that will bring some really chilly Christmas weather for the rest of the week.
A strong cold front will slice through the area, bringing scattered showers and thunderstorms later this evening. There is a chance to see some isolated strong thunderstorms mainly south and east of greater Houston.
Behind the front, temperatures will be considerably cooler and with a strong north wind. Wednesday night will be cold and breezy with temperatures crashing into the 30s by Thursday morning.
A very cold Christmas Eve Morning!
The chill will last through Christmas. Even with sunny skies both days, morning lows will be in the 30s, and highs will be in the 50s and low 60s. However, the wind will back off and full sunshine will make Christmas afternoon feel very crisp and festive!
