LOS ANGELES – It’s official: “Jeopardy!” fans will see tag-team hosts Mayim Bialik and Ken Jennings behind the lectern through the end of the current season.
According to The Associated Press, Sony Pictures Television, which produces the quiz show, said the former “Big Bang Theory” star and record-holding “Jeopardy!” champion will keep sharing hosting duties in the new year.
“We are delighted to let you know our excellent and experienced team in front of and behind the camera will continue into 2022: @missmayim and @kenjennings will share hosting duties through the end of #Jeopardy! Season 38, and Michael Davies will remain as executive producer,” “Jeopardy!” tweeted Wednesday afternoon.
The season runs through July 2022, according to the AP.
The announcement came months after producers named the 45-year-old Bialik, who is an actress and neuroscientist, and Jennings, 47, interim hosts of the show following Mike Richards’ abrupt exit, the AP reported. Richards, who had been tapped as host, stepped down from the role on Aug. 20 and was ousted as executive producer later that month as controversy swirled over his previous podcast comments.
