According to WFTV, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said that a mother, two of her daughters and one of her granddaughters were shot and killed inside a house Friday morning. Around 4 a.m., deputies said another one of the mother’s daughters showed up at a house off Myers Drive, reporting that she had been shot.

Sheriff John Mina said the man who allegedly shot the family was identified as Shavell Jones, 23, according to WFTV. He was in the hospital undergoing surgery for a gunshot wound to the head. According to Mina, if Jones survives his injuries, he will be charged with murder.

According to WFTV, investigators learned that Jones was in a relationship with one of the daughters who was killed. Jones and that daughter had gotten into an argument. Mina said that Jones was taking his belongings out of the house when he allegedly came back into the house and started shooting.

The daughter that survived was reportedly the mother of the 4-year-old girl who was killed, Mina said, according to WFTV. She also has two other children, ages 4 and 6. Both were in the house at the time of the shooting, but were found safe hiding under blankets.

Jones reportedly has no criminal history aside from a failure to appear charge in a misdemeanor case, according to WFTV. Mina said that he has no history or documentation of domestic or dating violence in relation to this family.

The names of the victims have not yet been released, but they were 49, 29 and 28 years old along with the 4-year-old, according to WFTV.

The investigation is ongoing. No further information has been released.
