VERONA, N.Y. – An armed woman wearing a clown mask robbed a convenience store in upstate New York on Wednesday morning, authorities said.
According to a news release from the New York State Police, the woman entered a Circle K store in Verona at about 2:53 a.m. EST.
The woman, who was in all-black clothing, approached the clerk and displayed a weapon, the release stated. She stole an unknown amount of cash and fled on foot, state police said.
State police released photos of the woman from surveillance camera footage, the Syracuse Post-Standard reported.
The woman is still at large, the newspaper reported.
