The Clarksville Police Department said in a news release that its officers were called to the Minit Mart on Dec. 22 when a woman said that she was pumping gas when an armed woman approached her and stole her Nissan Juke.

Approximately 30 minutes later, officers responding to a call for shots fired met with a victim who said a woman stole her black Mercedes-Benz. The victim said that the woman had a young child that she was using as a shield when she fired the shot and stole the vehicle. The Nissan Juke that had been stolen previously was found at the scene.

Minutes later, officers were called by Cheatham County officials, who said the stolen Mercedes-Benz had been recovered, and that a woman had stolen a Ford F-150, which was then involved in a crash.

Clarksville police said in the news release that they identified the suspect as Bethany Wilson. Wilson was arrested at a Days Inn, where police said she was taken into custody without a confrontation. Police said her child was with her and is safe.

Wilson was charged with aggravated robbery, WZTV reported.
