McCormick & Company, Inc., issued a voluntary recall of three products due to possible salmonella contamination, according to the U.S Food & Drug Administration.

In a news release Tuesday, the FDA said that the company is recalling its McCormick Perfect Pinch Italian Seasoning, McCormick Culinary Italian Seasoning and Frank’s RedHot Buffalo Ranch Seasoning.

No illnesses have been reported so far, the FDA said.

The four products subject to the recall include:

  • McCormick Perfect Pinch Italian Seasoning, 1.31-ounce bottle, UPC number: 052100049731, McCormick item number: 901582629, best by date codes: May 26 24 K, May 27 24 K, Jun 04 24 K, Jun 05 24 K
  • McCormick Perfect Pinch Italian Seasoning, 2.25-ounce bottle, UPC number: 052100038254, McCormick item number: 901455463, best by date codes: Jun 30 24 H, Jul 01 24 H
  • McCormick Culinary Italian Seasoning, 1.75-pound bottle, UPC number: 52100325743, McCormick item number: 932574, best by date code: Jun 12 24 H
  • Frank’s RedHot Buffalo Ranch Seasoning, 153-gram bottle, UPC number: 066200021047, McCormick item number: 901543520, affected date codes: BB / MA 2022 Sep 06.

The recalled product was shipped to 32 states, according to Food Safety News. They include Alabama, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and Wisconsin.

The product was also shipped internationally to Bermuda and Canada, Food Safety News reported.

The products were shipped this year between June 20 and July 21, the FDA reported.

McCormick was alerted to the possibility of salmonella by the FDA during routine testing, the agency reported.

It is not necessary for consumers to return the product to the store where it was bought, the FDA said. It is recommended that consumers throw away the product, the agency said. Consumers with questions can contact McCormick Consumer Affairs at 1-800-635-2867, weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. EDT, for a replacement or full refund.
